Nashoba SPED PAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) officers are planning next year's program and would like your input.
Please complete the SPED PAC Feedback Survey. Return your completed survey by June 12, 2009 to your child's school office or to the Special Education Office at Emerson School. Surveys may be mailed directly to Joan Finger, 4 Pinewood Rd., Bolton 01740-1036. Paper copies are available at your school office.

April SPED PAC meeting Wednesday, April 29th, 7:15pm:
The Other Side of the Table, a presentation and discussion facilitated by Karen Libby, Sudbury Public Schools will be the focus of the SPED PAC meeting right after vacation on at Nashoba Regional HS in the ASC.. The evening will be an insightful perspective to help you understand the system and navigate your way through it. Look at the dynamics of a parent/school meeting, whether an eligibility meeting, IEP planning meeting or other conference and have an opportunity to raise your questions and get input from others. Ms. Libby will present a school perspective and discuss helpful approaches to use when seeking the program you want for your child. As a parent and professional, Ms. Libby can help you see both the parent's perspective and the school's perspective.

May SPED PAC meeting: Wednesday, May 20th - 7:15pm
Getting it Done: Implementing Strategies into the Classroom and Home to Build Executive Function Skills with Sarah Ward, M.S., CCC/SLP. Ms. Ward will present comprehensive and specific strategies to promote the development of executive function skills in students. These strategies for organization will empower you to increase
your child's independent ability to manage and organize their time, space and materials. Location: (note change) Sawyer School Cafeteria, Bolton. Entrance to Sawyer School is about ¾ mile west of rte 495, opposite the Bolton Police Station. Enter driveway, go past the first school (Emerson) and follow driveway to the right to Sawyer School at the end of the road (Mechanic Street).
Additional Events of Interest
"Challenger Baseball League" returns and seeks participants and volunteers. This program for physically and mentally challenged children ages 5 through 18, resumes in May. Games will be played Saturday mornings from 10 to 11am, May 9 through June 13th at Thayer Field in Lancaster. No practices, just
games! Any local Little Leaguer, friends, JV, or varsity athletes are
